Lama Jacqueline Mandell

Lama Jacqueline Mandell is A Founding Teacher of Samden Ling. She was fortunate to have met A.dzom P.aylo Rinpoche in 1996 at Samye Chimpu, Tibet during a pilgrimage following in the footsteps of Padmasambhava, Yeshe Tsogyal, Longchen Rabjam and Jigme Lingpa.  Jacqueline began training with Adzom Rinpoche on the very day she met him during Sagadawa, the month honoring the Buddha’s Enlightenment. Prior to that time, she was a student of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche.

On December 25, 2003, while offering teachings on ‘The Heart Essence of the Vast Expanse’ to a large audience, A.dzom Rinpoche formally authorized Jacqueline to teach the Longchen Nyingthig Ngondro.

Previously, in 1971 Jacqueline had traveled to India where she began Buddhist Meditation practice in Bodh Gaya with S.N. Goenka. She  received several notable authorizations to teach the Mindfulness/ Vipassana systems of Buddhism from Venerable Mahasi Sayadaw and Venerable Taungpulu Sayadaw of Burma. She has taught Buddhist Meditation globally since 1976.

Margaret first met Adzom Rinpoche in 1999 during public talks hosted by Lama Jacqueline Mandell.  She knew immediately that she had met her root lamaand followed him to Tara Mandala in Colorado to receive Green Tara and Guru Rinpoche empowerments.

She began semtri with him that same year and was authorized to teach in 2003.

Margaret began her Buddhist training in 1979 and has also studied under Chagdud Rinpoche.
