Samden Ling Buddhist Community is honored to welcome back Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche for a 5-day, in-town retreat. He will teach “The Wish-Fullfilling Treasure” by Longchen Rabjam (Longchenpa). This text is included in the seven commentaries by Longchenpa. These texts synthesizes more than 600 years of spiritual transmissions originating from Guru Padmasambhava. Longchen Rabjam was one of the greatest scholars and realized sages of Tibet from the 14th Century.
Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche is one of the primary teachers at Shechen Monastery. A renowned monastery in Nepal which is home to approximately 1,000 monastics. He is a lineage holder of the Longchen Ngingthig, and studied under Dzogchen master, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche speaks conversational English. His Portland, Oregon retreat translator will be Lopon Tashi. Lopon Tashi speaks excellent English and is also a well trained monk and scholar as well as head of Shechen Monastery in Mexico.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the retreat?
TriMet
Take the Blue Line or Red Line to the Washington Park MAX stop, which lets you off right at our front door. Check out TriMet’s web site to plan your trip, find fares and see when the next train is coming.
Taking the Bus? Line #63 also runs to Washington Park. The bus stop is ID is 10121. Please check www.trimet.org for information.
By Car
Located in Portland’s beautiful Washington Park. We are just five minutes from downtown Portland. Our campus also includes the Discovery Museum and Portland Zoo, and borders the Hoyt Arboretum. There is a daily fee for parking your car (see below) which is not included in the registration price for this retreat.
Parking
Washington Park has a pay-by-space meter system in place. Rates are $2.00 an hour with a discount for all day parking. For more information about parking in the park, please visit explorewashingtonpark.org,
What should I bring to the retreat?
Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. Many people find it helpful to bring a notebook and pen.
Will lunch be included/served?
Lunch is included in the registration price. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available. Please email info@samdenling.org with your choice.

What’s the refund policy?
No refunds will be given. Please note the retreat starts on a Saturday and continues until the following Wednesday.
